Blasting

  • Surface pre-treatment by sharp-edged steel abrasive to clean steel surface from rust, iron scales and other impurities and to create an anchor profile for subsequent thermal spraying or painting
  • Surface pre-treatment by blasting stainless steel with sharp-edged ceramic abrasive – corundum in order to unify the surface after welding, to prevent surface contamination with traces of iron and to create an anchor profile
  • Surface pre-treatment by very fine blasting (sweeping) a finer fraction of ceramic abrasive and lower air pressure to clean and roughen the surface before applying painting materials on hot-dip galvanized steel.

When blasting for subsequent surface treatment, it is always important to determine the surface purity and roughness.
